BikeMaster CR125M Rebuild | Part 7

BikeMaster CR125M Rebuild | Part 7
By Bikemaster March 11, 2020
The assembly of our 1974 CR125M Elsinore quickly clicked into high gear once the restoration of the components was finished. A new Wiseco piston was slid into a freshly bored cylinder, the carb and electrics were installed, high temp painted exhaust and foot controls fitted. The remanufactured side number plates needed a little finessing to line up correctly.

There are certain moments during a project that really keep the motivation going. Installing the iconic, first-generation Elsinore silver and green fuel tank, brought a big smile to our faces. Just like that, her identity was back in place.

After modifying the seat brackets, the big cushy seat was mounted with the Honda logo proudly displayed from behind. It is always a great sense of accomplishment when you look at the top of the workbench and the parts boxes only to find there is nothing left to install. Stepping back and looking at the finished product was actually a little emotional. This bike seemed so big as a child and now to see her looking as good as she looked in the showroom floor was awesome.

Even though these projects can be a lot of work, we encourage you to give it a shot. There are so many resources out there that can make your project bike come out spectacular. BikeMaster can help you build your dream!
